Halifax were always on top from the start, and were rewarded with a fine early goal from Leigh Hirst in the 10th minute after a good strike from Linda Clarkson at a short corner.
Despite some forays into the Halifax defence the opposition had very few chances due to some strong defending by Amber Pennyward, Claire Robertshaw, Lisa Scoltock and Gail Crabtree.
On the rare occasions that came there way Sasha Pennyward in goal was equal to any of their efforts and ably cleared her lines. Robyn Fawkes linked well with Reagan Midgley and some excellent passing work led to Robyns first goal.
Forwards Angela Riley, Beth Bowers and Sarah Woodhead ran the opposition defence ragged and after several goalmouth saves Woodhead put the ball away to make it 3-0 just after the break.
After strong tackling and a fine pass from Jo Hardingham, Robyn Fawkes broke away to score the fourth and this was swiftly followed by a fifth when Angela Riley made sure off another fine shot by man of the match Fawkes giving the home side a well-deserved 5-0 win
