Northallerton dominated at home and ran out 5-1 winners against Halifax Ladies 4th team.

Halifax started off on the back foot with Northallerton attacking strongly from the start.

The Halifax defence worked extremely hard to keep the ball out of their area. Amber Penny Ward made some great tackles to try and keep Northallerton out of the D along with Linda Clarkson helping out as sweeper.

Gail Crabtree maintained pressure on tracking her player well and managed to send the ball away from the D continuous times to Claire Robertshaw who made great passes up the left wing.

Unfortunately Halifax were 2 nil down in the 1st half despite some great saves from Sasha Penny Ward.

At the beginning of the second half Halifax brought it back with Leigh Hirst and Regan Midgely working well together up the left wing to pass to man of the match Robyn Fawkes who was awaiting in the D and scored a fantastic goal.

Excellent effort from Angela Wright and Jo Hardingham on the right who intercepted the ball passing to Helen Chadwick Marshall who hit it down the wing making some accurate passes and succeeded in making a shot on goal which was unfortunately deflected by the goalie.

Overall a flattering scoreline to Northallerton who were helped by some dubious umpire decisions, nevertheless Halifax battled on and were much improved in the second half.
