First win for Ladies 4ths!!!

Halifax started strongly with Lucy and Nicky Boulton working well in the centre opening up the play for the forwards and Robyn Fawkes showing promise on the left wing.

Leigh Hirst and Helen Chadwick Marshall both had chances to score with their shots just wide of the posts.

Halifax maintained pressure and Jo Hardingham scored a great goal in a well worked short corner move following up Angela Wright's shot on goal.

Horsforth were determined to get a goal back but were denied by sterling defence in midfield by Leigh Hirst and Lucy.

Despite a number of short corners being awarded against them Halifax did not concede with Sasha Pennyward once again making some crucial saves.

Defenders Lisa Scoltock, Claire Robertshaw, Amber Pennyward and Linda Clarkson all battled hard and kept Horsforth from scoring.
