Depleted Ladies 4ths take a draw
Ladies 4th were winners on paper for this match, but short on attacking players were happy with a 2-2 draw with Horsforth
On top of the lack of attacking players, the Ladies 4th had to contend with some players not being 100%, and they didnt get of to the best of starts when they went 1-0 down within the first ten minutes.
A change around saw Linda Clarkson and Linda Marshall swapping position, Linda M moving to Centre Mid and Linda C dropping to Centre Back.
Halifax, again playing two centre mids, managed to get more control of the match with some great runs on the right by Harriet Wood on the wing outpacing the opposition and well supported by Helen Chadwick-Marshall, right midfield.
A great cross by Helen found Angela Riley in the D who put away the Halifax equaliser.
Halifax had much of the play in the second half with some strong defending by Amber Pennyward at right back.
Horsforth broke away on the right and managed a couple of shots at goal - well saved by Sasha Pennyward, the Horsforth attack managed to sneak their second goal on a rebound.
Halifax came straight back, though, with an almost identical second goal with a lovely run from Helen on the right, a lovely cross into the D to find Angela Riley and a lovely firm shot into the back of the net.
