Halifax pressed from the start but could make no impact on the experienced Tadcaster defence.

The visitors made several strong breaks but solid work in the midfield from joint man of the match winners Molly Midgley and Cara James kept them out.

Half time came and went with both teams battling hard but each defence snuffing out the others attack.

Every Halifax player worked extremely hard and eventually their determination and pressure resulted in several short corners. Whilst three were cleared off the line by the very strong Tadcaster defence Captain Angela Wright struck hard to the bottom corner to sneak the winner in the last five minutes.

Tadcaster rallied but the team stuck to their task and held on to a deserved win and a good 3 points.
