Top of the league too much for Ladies 4ths

With Pickering being top of the league, Halifax knew it would be a tough game.

Halifax went 1 down quite quickly to a very strong attacking team - and were ecstatic when Molly Midgley scored a fantastic goal from a cross into the D from Linda Marshall.

The scoreline does not represent how good this game was, great performances by Becka Kendall who got Man of the Match for some really great runs on the right and some lovely skill and great pace, getting crosses into the D but just lacking the people up front to support her.

Good performances from Leigh Hirst on the left working well with Molly who worked really hard battling through on the left and equalling the skills of a great opposition.

Also Sasha Pennyward in goal, rising to the challenge, saving some great shots and ensuring Pickering didn't get into double figures.

A really good spirited game from both sides.
