Halifax III 2-0 Bingley Bees

Halifax faced 9th place Bingley Bees last weekend. The away side have had some good results since the Christmas break, but Halifax were confident they could continue their current good form and cause them some problems. Halifax dominated possession in the first half and some great passing through midfielders Anya Wasilewski and Margaret Bottomley saw Courtney White fire the ball at the goal to get Halifax's first.

The second half saw more of the same. Halifax came close to going further ahead with penalty corner after penalty corner, but the Bingley defence held fast and Halifax were unable to increase their lead. It wasnt until the last 10 minutes of the game when Halifax took their chance. Ellie Sutcliffe, Nicola Boulton and Bottomley did everything they could to get the ball in the 'D' and after some scrappy play in front of goal, super sub Claire Hoey put the ball in the net to seal the win for the home side.
