The game started badly for Halifax, conceding a goal before the team had settled.
The defence stuck to their task well but they were exposed by the Halifax midfield and lack of understanding in the team and the first half was an onslaught of Bridlington pressure.
Despite the best efforts of Kiera Hayman who was tested to the hilt in goal, Halifax finished the half five goals down.
The interval gave Halifax a chance to regroup and the second half was a much more even affair. Hannah Cottrill and youngsters Amy March and Leah Kalter gave a good account of themselves and made a good case to be retained in the team.
Halifax threatened the Bridlington goal circle and won several short corners but were unable to get a consolation goal. Bridlington added one to their tally in the second half to make the final score 6-0
