It was a very grey Saturday afternoon for Halifax when they got to Leeds for the 4.30pm push back against second in the league Leeds Uni 2’s.
Halifax found themselves overrun in defence from the beginning of the match, Leeds kept their line of attack consistent and found themselves 1-0 up in the first ten minutes. Things didn’t get much brighter for Halifax as they found themselves 3-0 down by the end of the second half.
The defence stayed strong, and with a few attacking chances from Halifax it was only towards the end of the second half that Leeds managed to slip two more goals in, crossing the ball in from the baseline with Leeds attackers waiting to tap it in.
The match finished at 5-0 to Leeds, considering the home match was a 7-0 loss it was an improvement for the Halifax side.
