Kingston Upon Hull II 3-2 Halifax II
Halifax travelled away to Hull last weekend for a game they knew was going to be a tough one.
The away side started the game with 10 players which led to the home side getting 2 early goals through some brilliantly executed penalty corners.
Once Halifax were back to a full strength side they started to attack more positively. Chances through Michaela Midgley, Katie Shannon and Harriet Wood saw Halifax come close to scoring in the first half.
After a positive half time talk, Halifax came out of the starting blocks at a sprint in the second half.
Claire Waldron, Ruth Prosser and Ellen Campsall provided the attacking drive Halifax needed.
Two penalty corners saw Halifax draw level with goals from Waldron and Midgley.
With about five minutes to go, a rushed hit out led to Hull gaining another penalty corner.
Defenders Jessica Stott, Cat Vose, Ruth Bury and Steph Hoyle did everything to keep the home side out but another slick penalty corner saw them score their third goal.
