Wakefield IV 1-7 Halifax II
Halifax travelled away to Wakefield to play what they expected to be a tough game after a close 3-2 win against Wakefield in the home fixture
However, Halifax took control of the game from the start and it wasn't long before Katie Shannon got the away side's first goal.
With key players missing, others stepped up and pushed Halifax forward. Ruth Bury created countless chances and provided the forwards with great service. Rebecca Brown, Harriet Wood and Bury all got goals in the first half to see Halifax go 4-0 up into the break.
They second half saw much of the same pressure from Halifax. Claire Waldron and Cara James pushed forward creating more scoring opportunities.
Shannon got another goal in the second half and Brown got another two to complete her hatrick.
Wakefield managed to get a consolation goal towards the end of the match, which was the first time the home side managed to penatrate the defence. Halifax are on a great run which sees them in second in Yorkshire Division 2.
