Hard fought draw for Ladies 2s

Skipton I 0-0 Halifax II

Halifax were slow to start and Skipton had a few chances on goal but goalkeeper Sharon Crawshaw kept them at bay. Towards the end of the first half Halifax stepped it up.

Midfielders Ellen Campsall, Claire Waldron and Ruth Prosser all pressing foward creating chances. Forwards Michaela Midgley, Harriet Wood and Katie Shannon all came close to putting the home side ahead but were unable to convert.

The second half saw Halifax continue to pressure Skipton but the home sides goalkeeper managed to keep Halifax out.

Halifax's defence managed to stay strong to the final whistle and settled for a point from a very tough match.
