Halifax's second game of the weekend saw them travel away to top of the league side York Uni.
A fast paced game from the first whistle meant Halifax had to step it up.
An unstoppable strike on goal put the home side ahead but defenders Jessica Stott, Cat Vose, Nicola Boulton and April Hendy managed to keep the relentless York attack at bay up to half time.
The away side struck early in the second half with a fantastic run from Adele Muff who crossed the ball into Michaela Midgley who managed to level the score with a brilliant finish.
York scored another through a penalty corner, but Halifax managed to bring it level again with a great interception from Ellen Campsall, setting Rachel Hoyle up to score a fantastic goal.
Ruth Prosser worked tirelessly with the defence to keep York out, but some strange umpiring decisions allowed York to gain 2 more goals.
One win out of two last weekend saw Halifax move up to third in Yorkshire Division 1 and this comes after 2 consecutive promotions.
