Ladies 2s came from behind, in a dramatic end to the game to win 3-2 at home to Wakefield.

The win sees Halifax move to 4th in Yorkshire Division 1 with the win

Michaela Midgley put the home side ahead with a well worked goal. Wakefield hit back not long after to bring the game level.

In the second half, midfielders Ruth Prosser, Rachel Hoyle and Claire Waldron created countless opportunities for the home side but Halifax were unable to convert. A penalty flick at the other end saw Wakefield go ahead. Midgley responded getting her and Halifax's second goal.

At 2-2, and time ticking away, the drama then started to unfold when Halifax were awarded a penalty flick, but usual flick taker Ruth Bury was not playing, so the responsibility fell to captain Jessica Stott.

Stott missed and Wakefield promptly broke away and were quickly awarded a flick themselves down the other end. Keeper Sharon Crawshaw made a stunning save.

Roared on by the watching crowd, Stott fired the ball down the other end of the pitch and some fantastic passing from Cara James and Katie Shannon saw Harriet Wood fire home from close range in the final few minutes to get a win for the home side
