Cup exit for Ladies 2s

Halifax started the day on the wrong foot arriving just 5 minutes before the start of the game.

Despite this Halifax dominated from the start with high intensity and quickly won a string of short corners but unfortunately failed to convert them into goals.

The Halifax midfield worked tirelessly with continuous runs from Amy march which gained possession but as the match progressed driffield began to dominate with many deflective shots resulting in goals to add to Halifax woe a player was given a green card for a trivial offense.

Halifax were given hope with a penalty flick won by Sara woodhead towards the end of the first half but were unable to take advantage of the opportunity and entered the second half 5-0 to driffield.

In the second half Halifax showed great determination by keeping a clean sheet and a fine solo effort by Robyn fawkes gave Halifax a well deserved goal.

The Halifax defense of cat Vose, Anna butterworth and Beth smith kept Driffield at bay.

Despites halifaxs best efforts poor umpiring created hard work and caused another penalty for a minor offense.

Unfortunately Halifax were unable fine the driffield net again and ended up loosing 5-1.
