Halifax progress to the semi final of this season's Yorkshire Cup after an impressive win away versus Driffield.
The first half was an even affair. The home side struck early with a fast counter attacking goal. However, Halifax persisted and grew in strength through the first half and gained an equaliser just before half time through Michaela Midgley.
The second half saw the away side dominate. Defenders Jessica Stott, Cat Vose, Ruth Bury and Laura Neimatas managed to keep the Driffield attack at bay with the help of keeper Sharon Crawshaw.
Ruth Prosser, Adele Muff, Claire Waldron and Hannah Wilcock worked tirelessly in midfield to create countless opportunities, only to be denied by some fantastic saves from the home goal keeper. However, Halifax managed to break through the defences with 2 goals from Katie Shannon and Rachel Hoyle to seal the win.
