Another win keeps Mens 1sts top

Halifax remain top of the table although the game was far from won until after half time when the team turned on the style.

Slazengers were a much better side than their lowly league status portrays and it took an outstanding move from Halifax to open the scoring.

Henry Shelton, Josh Sutcliffe and Matthew Bairstow worked the ball to Matthew Graham who found the run of Jake Bamforth and he finished the move with a neat deflection.

Slazengers fought back and equalised from a well worked short corner. 1-1 at half time.

The 2nd half was dominated by Fax with Josh Barron have a particularly good game coming forward from the right back position.

Bairstow gave the team a 2-1 lead creating space in the D before smashing it home.

Bamforth increased the lead with the a delicate deflection after Michael Jones had fired the ball into the D.

Bairstow completed the scoring after finding himself in space after a goalmouth scramble, he finished with no problem.

Simon Arch had a good game at left back making sure the dangerous Slazengers right wing quiet.

Matthew Metcalfe had a easy game but made a couple of good saves when required.
