The final U12 Boys Tournament took place with the Halifax team finishing in Division 2. A excellent finish to the season

Halifax U12 boys finished their season in Division 2 and showed they were able to compete with some of the top clubs.

Their 1st game was a 0-0 draw against Thirsk but Halifax were the better side with both Archie King and Rhys Hancock going close.

Their next match was similar against Chapletown with the Chapletown keeper making 3 fine saves to deny Noah Thomis. The team lost the game 1-0 with Chapletown soring on a rare break away.

They were well beaten by a strong Leeds Sdele team 2-0 but perhaps their best performance was in giving the top team Hull a very good game and they deserved their 0-0 draw. Peter Stobard and Michael Brook were excellent in defence and Charlie Glenn in his first games as a keeper made some vital saves . At the other end Noah Thomis could have won the game but after very good dribbles, he missed the target.

Halifax finished in style against Harrogate with Finlay Smith causing problems for the Harrogate defence., His quick ball allowed King to score. Thomis did well to set up Hancock for a simple tap in and Brook deservedly got on the score sheet after playing well in all the games. 3-1 win.

Finishing in 8th place out of 34 teams was an excellent season.
