The U14 Boys were playing their latest junior tournament

The Halifax boys u14 team started their U14 Yorkshire league campaign in division 5 but dominated the other 2 teams in this league to win promotion to division 4 for the next set of games in November.

The 1st game against Thirsk was only a 1-0 win but it should have been more with Halifax camped in the Thirsk 25 area for almost all the game.

Hannah Clark hit a post and Jakob Morley went close and it was left to Sam Bizley to get the winner after numerous goalmouth scrambles.

The 2nd game saw a more composed team using the space and their passing skills to open up a Leeds Adel team. Alex Gloag and Jack Thompson were excellent in defence and started the attacking moves.

Alex greenwood also defended well in his debut games. Max Slater worked hard in mid field to provide ball for the skilful Morley who caused havoc down the right hand side of the pitch.

Thomson opened the scoring with a crisp shot and Tom Crowther got the second at the far post from a fine cross from Morley. Noah Thomis scored the 3rd goal sweeping the ball after good work from Josh Meacham and Clark.

Harrison Thomis in the Halifax goal was only needed on 2 occasions and he dealt with these attacks with ease.

The team will be tested in the next division against some strong clubs.
