The U12 boys were playing their 1st Yorkshire league tournament starting in division 5 of 6 and after a good morning in Leeds Adel, they have gained promotion to league 4 for the next games at the end of the Month.
GAME 1 - Bingley
This was an easy game against a very young and inexperienced team. Noah Thomis with 4 was scoring at will with Rhys Hancock getting 2 and Peter Garside and Michael Brook 1 each.
GAME 2 - Sheffield
The 2nd game was arguably between the 2 best teams of the 5 in this league and it was a very tough encounter. Thomis worked his socks off as did Garside to keep the skilful Sheffield team out of danger areas.
Georgia King made a couple of good saves when necessary. Hancock scored a great goal from a Thomis pass to give the lads a lead but just as they were about to celebrate a win, Sheffield struck with the last move of the game 1-1.
GAME 3 - Huddersfield
3rd game against Huddersfield was a tired effort from the team but Charlie Glenn was pushing forward and created a penalty corner with Garside pouncing on a rebound to get the team into the lead. Some slack marking allowed Huddersfield an equaliser and despite dominating the game, the lads were unable to get the win.
GAME 4 - York
The 4th and last game was a must win game to secure promotion and the lads responded against a good York team. Archie King who only recently joined the squad opened the scoring firing the ball towards goal and happily the York keeper failed to make the save. the team continued to press and Thomis got the 2nd goal to make the game safe.
