U16 Girls

The U16 Girls team were competing in the England Hockey Cup and had a home tie against a strong Driffield team.

With a decent home crowd cheering them on, the girls battled hard all through the game but sadly lost 3-0

The result means they are unlikely to progress into the next round despite 2 earlier wins.

U14 Boys

The U14 boys performed really well up in Thirsk despite having their squad severely depleted.

1st up was Driffield and it was a comfortable win 5-0.
Goal scorers were Luke Pearson(2), Jacob Maclean(2) and Euan Hancock.

2nd up were hosts Thirsk and it was an equally dominant performance with a 3-0 win. Scorers were Amos Mackrill, Pearson and a guest player.

3rd game was against a strong Doncaster team and despite excellent goalkeeping from Charlie Slim, the team went down 3-1.

With 2 wins and the 1 defeat the team were delighted with the days efforts, but may just miss out on promotion for the next matches on February 23rd.
