It was an excellent day for the Men's section with 3 wins from 3 for the M1, M2 & M3 this week - the M4 got a break with a bye week in their league

M1

The 1st team eventually overcame a spirited Leeds team with 2 late goals to take the points 4-2.

Top scorer Michael Jones opened the scoring with a trademark drag flick, but Leeds scored twice against the run of play, both on the counter attack, as the Halifax midfield were sloppy in losing possession.

Josh Sutcliffe equalised half way through the 2nd half before Jones got his 2nd when set up brilliantly by youngster Finlay Owen Smith.

Harry Crane thought he had got his first goal for the M1 in his debut season, but the umpires judged the ball had hit his body as he bundled the ball in.

Keeping the pressure on, Halifax soon made this count as Elliot Bullock who had tormented the Leeds defence with his skilful running all game set up the 4th. After beating 4 players with a mazy run he laid it off to John Horsley to force the ball home.

M3

The 3rd team needed a win against Ben Rhydding to climb away from the relegation places and a 2-0 win was just what was called for.

Goals from Yasar and Peter Howard did the job and gives them some breathing space in the relegation fight. They sit 6 points clear of the bottom 2 heading into the final run of games

M2

The 2nd team continued their good run with a 2-1 win against Aire Valley 1st team.

Man of the match Rob Amos scored an equaliser after a bizarre 1st goal foe Aire Valley.

Ryan Dransfield got the winner and despite a yellow sin bin card for Aidan Crowe, the team held on to claim the points.

They look to keep their good form going at home to Slazengers 2s on Saturday
