Our U12 girls were in the latest round of tournaments held at Ben Rhydding and at Leeds Grammar School.

The club had 2 U12 girls team playing on Sunday.

Team number 2 were at Ben Rhydding and played 3 other teams in their league of 4.

The very young team passed the ball really well and worked together as a team.
The teams played each other twice with the combined score counting.

The team came away with some excellent results and a great day all round. Well done!

Two 0-0 draws against Sheffield.
A 0-0 draw and 1-0 defeat against Selby and
Two 1-0 wins against Slazengers.
Goals were scored by Isla Flesher Smith and Rea Vaquari.

Meanwhile, U12 team 1 played at Leeds Grammar.

They were in division 3 out of 8 so faced some strong opposition on the day. With 6 teams in the league, everyone played 5 games. The team were able to build momentum through the day and came away with some fantastic reuslts;

Win 1-0 V Leeds
Win 2 - 0 V Hull
Win 3- 0 V Huddersfield
Lost 1-0 V York
Draw 0-0 V Doncaster.

A very good set of all round team performances and unlucky to lose to York who scored on a rare breakaway.

Lucy Hampshire scored 5 of the goals and Martha Mackrill the other one. The Top 2 in the division get promotion and bottom 2 get relegated. Halifax narrowly missed out on 2nd spot and finished 3rd so remain in the division for next time.
