Latest newsletter with info on end of season activities and plans for the summer. Including a short survey on summer league hockey

Hi everyone,

With the season nearly over we thought it was a good opportunity to highlight some of the upcoming activities at the club for the summer and leading into the start of next season.

Training

Training will continue for some teams through April. Speak to your captain if you are not sure and for details of the sessions that are running.

There are currently no scheduled senior club training, games or activities taking place through May from a club perspective. Everyone is taking a well earned break :-)

Juniors

There are still junior training sessions taking place and still opportunities to join the junior academy. So please spread the word with the flyer below and encourage any friends, colleagues, relatives to get in touch if their children would like to try it out.

Hockey Heroes

Hockey Heroes is back at the end of April. Aimed at 5-8 year olds this 8 week programme is a brilliant and fun introduction to Hockey. There is plenty of info on the website and there is a flyer below that can be sent on to anyone you know and you/they can sign up via this link :

Presentation/Awards Night

This will be on Saturday May 7th from 19:00.

More details will come out closer to the time but get the date saved in your diary.

Anyone who has a trophy from previous years, please make every effort to return it to the club ASAP so that we can get it engraved

Adel Summer League

Adel are running a ladies summer league and any teams wishing to enter the deadline is April 7th. Games start week commencing May 2nd for 7 weeks. Please contact Mags if you need any additional info.

Internal Summer League

Given the length of travel to places like Adel and with the current climate on costs, our own summer league would have a lot of advantages. We have the option of running our own internal summer league this year if there is enough demand and there are volunteers to plan, organise and run the event.

The proposal is that this would run at Park Lane from week commencing 6th June for 6 weeks. The format will be based on demand and availability of players

If you are interested in playing in our own summer league please let us know by replying to this survey and if you are interested in volunteering to help organise & run the event then please indicate so that we can discuss options.

Fitness Training

There will be a series of fitness sessions running from 13th July for 8 weeks. Following on from the success of last years sessions, we are putting them on again. The 8 week block will be £15 and is limited to 30 people. So will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Please contact Dani Parker if you are interested.

Masterclasses

We will be running a series of masterclasses through the summer focussing on certain skills and drills. Watch this space for details and contact Holly Youdan if you're interested

Next Season - Training & Friendlies

Training will restart towards the end of August with friendlies and pre season games in September. Further details will be sent out closer to the time and the new fixture lists are available.
