Driffield Ladies I 4-2 Halifax Ladies II
The game started with Driffield applying early pressure whilst Halifax got to grips with some changes in personnel.
They where soon rewarded with their first goal, tapped through keeper Tracey Ingleson’s pads. A second goal was soon to follow with an eye catching strike at a short corner routine. Despite the relentless pressure, Halifax did not give up, battling back as hard as possible.
The second half allowed Halifax to find their rhythm a little more. Their hard work and determination paid off with a set up from Natalie Tyson which allowed Rebecca Brown to find the back of the net and reduce the deficit to 2-1.
Driffield retaliated with a questionable goal following what appeared to be a foul on Nicola Boulton. They then followed it up with a fourth goal, brought down the right side and scored at a very tight angle.
Still not willing to accept all hope was lost Halifax continued to fight back and the final goal of the game came from Halifax. A short corner deflection was nicely placed in the back of the goal by Izzy Crowe, taking the full time score to 4-2
