The final U11 Mixed Tournament of the season took place in Leeds on Sunday 10th July.

Halifax 2 Leeds 0
Halifax 1 Chapletown B 0
Halifax 6 Leeds Adel 0
Halifax 3 Chapletown A 1
Halifax 3 Kingston Upon Hull 0

Halifax entered the last tournament in division 3 and started the day in positive spirits against Leeds and whilst play was end to end Halifax took advantage of excellent defensive clearances from Ayden Dines and Brooke Holroyde to Archie King who broke away and scored 2 goals to give Halifax the win.

The next game against Chapletown B saw Halifax with much of the play but the very in form Chapletown keeper denied several attempts at goal from Libby Holroyde, King and Rhys Hancock.

Halifax continued to apply pressure on the Chapletown defence and were eventually rewarded when Hancock drew the keeper and crossed the ball through to King who neatly put the ball in the net to win 1 - 0.

The third game against Leeds Adel saw amazing passing play around midfield with Amelia Bizley proving too strong for the Adel players and sending pinpoint accurate passes regularly through to attackers in the D giving Hancock a well deserved goal who also provided several crosses to Daisy Tomlinson who got 2 and King who got another 2. Bizley herself drove the D drew the keeper and scored the 6th with an excellent reverse stick flick passed the remaining defenders, giving Halifax a resounding 6 - 0 win.

The penultimate game against Chapletown A was a strong battle for possession. Halifax took an early lead through Hancock followed by a thumping strike from the edge of the area by Dines and after another great pass from Bizley, Hancock got his second and the teams third. Chapletown were not done however and despite excellent defensive work from Dines and Holroyde supported by stand in keeper William Sheriff who made some excellent saves, Chapletown stole a consolation goal towards the end.

The last game against Hull was the most challenging but Sheriff pulled off numerous spectacular saves and Dines who worked tirelessly in defence cleared long balls up to King who skilfully dodged the opposition defence three consecutive times to finish with a hat trick.

All in all a fantastic display of team hockey from everyone and a well deserved 5 wins out of 5 showing just how much the team have improved as the tournament progressed.
