Perfect 10 for Ladies 3s!!
In their second game of the weekend, the Ladies 3s pulled out a fantastic performance away at Bradford, crushing their opposition 10-1
Bradford Ladies 1 - Halifax Ladies 3rds 10
This was a crucial match with both teams fighting for survival in division 4 this season. Halifax made a confident start with some slick passing to score 2 goals in the opening few minutes.
Nerves were clearly on edge as Bradford made the score 1-2 moments later with a deflection which gave keeper Claire Donson no chance.
Bradford continued to battle hard but Halifax made the ball do the work for them with accurate passing and great movement on and off the ball to make the scoreline 7-1 by half time.
Some well timed and accurate tackles by the Halifax defence kept the Bradford attack at bay throughout the second half.
The Halifax keeper had very little to do as Halifax concentrated well in the second half with the aim of improving their goal difference to put 3 more goals past the battling Bradford defence.
Goal scorers Sarah Woodhead (her first goal for the 3rd team), Molly Midgley, Vicki Ferdinando (2), Margaret Bottomley (2) and man of the match Louise Bottomley with 4 goals.
