A team comprised of experience and youth continues to perform confidently having won two of the first three league games this season.
Goals by Ollie Stokes x2 and Phil Green ensured a convincing 3-0 victory over normally a renowned difficult opposition.
An early first strike by Phil Green after a period of dominance settled the team down and set the scene for domination for Halifax throughout the game. The end of the first half a spectacular strike by Ollie Stokes assisted by Andy Turner trickled over the line to make it 2-0.
At the end of the first half was marked by a minor disagreement between players of both teams but helped motivate the Halifax team for the second half.
Enthusiastically, Stokes added to his tally early in the second half to seal the game making it 3-0. Halifax continued to dominate and comfortably saw out the rest of the game and created numerous chances to add to the goals.
Special mentions go out to Roy Atkinson who stepped in to play in goal making 2 vital saves and the three young players Harry Greenwood, Casey Marshall and Ollie Stokes who continue to develop. Finally, captain Neil Penny-Ward is leading the team by example and has got the team off to a great start.
