The Men's 4th team took revenge on Huddersfield 4th who beat them 2-1 earlier in the season with a comprehensive 6-1 win.

After a long Xmas break the Halifax lads were not at their best in the first 20 minutes with Elliot Bullick and Michael Broadbent struggling to get control of the ball in midfield.

As the game progressed the team started to gel with Sean Fitzatrick, Broadbent and George English-Burns combining well down the right to set up some good attacking options for Phil Green who came close to opening the scoring.

It was captain Andy Turner firing in a rocket shot from a now well polished penalty corner routine who opened the scoring and soon after Green pinched the ball of the Huddersfield sweeper to smash the ball past the visiting keeper. 2-0 at half time.

Halifax dominated the 2nd half and John Kalter was only occasionally called on the Halifax goal and he dealt with any threats from the Huddersfied forwards. Trevor Love, Paul Crowther and Paul Graham were now controlling midfield with Graham making it 3-following up after Turner had his shot saved at a penalty corner.

Andy Foreman got on the end of a good move to tap in to make it 4 but some sloppy defending allowed Huddersfield got a goal back.

Halifax pushed on and Graham got his 2nd goal deflecting Broadbent's shot into the net from a tight angle.

Mick Brennan rounded off a good individual performance with a fine solo goal to complete the scoring and the team were happy with both the progress of the young players and the way the team is trying to play passing hockey.
