A good team performance and an excellent result against ben Ryhdding who fielded a strong team of youth and experience.
Halifax started brightly with Andy Turner, Paul Graham and Sean Fitzpatrick having few problems in defence.
They deservedly took the lead when Graham followed up to fire home after Tom Cullen had seen his flick from the penalty corner saved. Halifax relaxed and allowed Ben Ryhdding an equaliser.
Halifax then lost influential play maker Gordon Hines with a hamstring injury and this upset the balance of the team. Paul Crowther fitted into this slot and grew into the role well.
George English-Burns and Elliott Bullick made some excellent runs to cause problems for the visitors but it was Cullen who managed to get the team back in front with an excellent strike from a narrow angle.
Once again Ben Rydding hit back only for Phil Green to show what a good player he can be setting up both English-Burns and Cullen who both scored to make the game safe at 4-2.
Ben Ryhdding pressed in the final 10 minutes but the team held firm with David Garside growing in confidence as the teams stopper.
To finish off an excellent afternoon, Mick Brennen send a superb pass to Cullen who rounded the keeper to complete his hat trick. 5-2 win
