Ladies 1s unfortunate in defeat

On Saturday January 11th 2014 halifax ladies first team travelled to Boston Spa,who are currently one place above Halifax in the table.

Boston Spa got off to an excellent start scoring after only minutes. Halifax fought back and held much of the possession through the first half.

Danielle Oneill ran the back line well and Emma Crawfords work upfront allowed Halifax to convert one of many short corners.

Halifax were 2-1 down at half time.

The second half brought good hockey; Halifax brought the score back to 2-2 and the game was fast paced and equally matched.

Helen Boughton had a great game in defence, along with Lauren Wright in midfield who spread the ball well.

Halifax were extremely unfortunate to suffer a 3-2 defeat; Boston Spa scored in the final minute securing a break against the Halifax Ladies.
