Ladies 1st lose 3-2 to Huddersfield Dragons 1sts after a late goal from a lucky corner.

Halifax faced a double weekend against local side Huddersfield
Dragons.
On Saturday, the venue being Park Lane, saw Halifax start extremely well with some excellent hockey being played. This took Huddersfield by surprise and Halifax quickly stepped ahead getting their first goal when some good work down the left led to Kate Walsh slotting the first goal away.
Halifax continued to pile on the pressure and shortly afterward were rewarded with their second goal when a shot from Steph Jones couldn't be stopped by the Huddersfield defence.
Huddersfield fought back and just before half time got a goal back. In the second half both sides were evenly matched but Huddersfield started to get the upper hand and were rewarded with second goal.
Both sides were working hard and the game looked set to be a draw when just before full time Huddersfield were awarded a lucky corner that they lifted over the Halifax keeper to get the winning goal.
