On the Sunday, Huddersfield welcomed Halifax to their home pitch at Lockwood park, and within ten minutes of the game Huddersfield managed to put the ball in the net against the run of play.
Halifax kept their heads up and fought back with some good play, but were unable to finish.
Huddersfield continued to put on the pressure which the away side matched, with Jo Love saving a ball on the line from a will stuck short corner.
Some great play from both sides but Huddersfield managed a second goal following a lucky touch on a Huddersfield attacker's foot that was then slipped into the net.
Halifax continued to work hard and were rewarded with a goal following a short corner that Micheala Holroyd put away. In the second half, Halifax tried hard to get that all important equaliser but were unable to put the ball in the net, despite having worked well to create opportunities.
Huddersfield started to get the upper hand with Halifax legs tiring, and some sloppy passing.
Despite some hard work defensively, and a great save on the line by Katie Love, Huddersfield managed a third goal when they were awarded a penalty flick which the Huddersfield captain put away to secure their second 3 points of the weekend.
Next week Halifax welcome Boston Spa to Park lane for what will be a tough match to get those all important 3 points.
