Halifax went from the highs of beating second placed Boston Spa last week to the lows of squandering chances against a Hull team they beat comfortably earlier in the season.
Beating Boston Spa meant they were in with a chance to snatch 2nd place away from them with victories in their final games, but this defeat coupled with a Boston win means that chance is slipping away.
Halifax found themselves 2-1 down at half time and struggling to get back in the games.
Danielle Oneill and Clare Waldron provided strength in midfield and attacked well but unfortunately the forwards were unable to finish.
Hull scored 3 of their goals off short corner straight strikes, as the kept the pressure on and saw the game out easily.
MOM Clare Waldron.
