Comfortable win for Ladies 1s
A 4-1 win at home against Rotherham for Ladies 1s in their first game of a double-game weekend
Halifax hosted Rotherham at home on Saturday.
Rotherham initially came out strong and went 1-0 up early on which servered to spur Halifax into action.
Halifax stepped up a gear and Emma Cavalier and the returning Lauren Wright worked well on the left wing and put the pressure onto the Rotherham back line.
Emma Bedford worked tirelessly upfront and crossed a hard ball in to Lauren Wright who deflected a goal in!
Becca Camp was having a storming game at centre back, marshalling the back line with ease and cutting out most of the Rotherham play.
It was a well cleared ball from Camp that picked out Michaela Midgley and then Dani Parker upfront to create the second goal for Halifax.
Half time score 2-1 Fax.
Halifax continued to dominate in the second half and were too strong for Rotherham. Midgley added two further goals to give Halifax a comfortable victory.
