In the second game of the weekend, Halifax hosted Slazengers at home on the Sunday.
This was a rearranged fixture after the original was cancelled due to a frozen pitch.
Halifax started brightly and in determined mood, ruling the roost from the offset.
Helen Boughton and once again Becca Camp dominated the Halifax defence.
Steph Jones has recently returned to the squad after missing the start of the season and she showed what they have been missing and excelled down the right wing, driving through the Slazengers defence time and again in what was to be a man of the match performance
Captain Jen Brennan controlled the centre and she started the move that saw Halifax open the scoring. A switched ball to Claire Waldron on the left and back across to Emma Bedford on the right who turned in the D and fired home.
Dani Parker soon added a second.
Emma Crawford then came off the bench and a brilliant run and cross within a minute of being on, saw Bedford drive the ball home with a fine finish for her second and Halifax's 3rd.
Keeper Keira Hayman stepping up from the 3s had a fine performance and she was called into action on a couple of occasions and made some brilliant saves as Slazengers tried to get a hold back into the game.
in the second half the dominance continued as Parker added her second and Michaela Midgely got her reward for a tireless performance with a well taken 5th for Halifax..
Fax go up to third in the table with a game in hand!!
Scorers Dani Parker 2, Emma Bedford 2, Michaela Midgley 1.
MOM Steph Jones, final scores 5-1 Fax.
