Ladies 1s off the mark
On Saturday 26th September Halifax Ladies 1s hosted Driffield at home and secured their first win of the season, edging a tight game 3-2
Driffield came out strong and despite numerous saves from Halifax keeper Cassie Barker, Halifax were 1-0 down at half time.
Halifax came out determined in the second half and from a free hit Dani Parker Collected the ball and drove in to the D and scored Halifax's first goal.
Driffield retaliated with their second goal soon after.
As the game flowed from end to end Lauren Wright picked the ball up in midfield, and linked well with Claire Waldron who laid the ball off to Michaela Midgely to fire home the equalising goal for Fax.
Halifax defence stayed firm; Jen Brennan played the ball down through midfield and Dani Parker picked up a strong nice pass through, crossed in to the D for Emma Bedford to score the winner!
