Summer Hockey Camp

Rishworth School Activity Camps which have been running successfully for over three years, aim to give children a variety of stimulating, physical based activities that are inclusive, fun and enjoyable for all.

Our Hockey Camp programme, which we are launching for the first time this Summer, has at its heart the same ethos but with the added bonus of developing the skills and abilities of aspiring young hockey players.

The Hockey Camp programme has been developed by highly experienced hockey coaches and looks to develop all positions and facets of the game, whilst catering for players of all abilities. Whether you are new to the game or the next Kate Walsh, our camps provide the perfect mix of technical coaching and fun games which are delivered in a safe, welcoming and professional hockey environment.

The day’s activities begin at 10am and run through to 3pm.

To recognise effort and progress, and even a keen sense of humour, awards are given daily. Activities, which are short in length, are varied and the focus changes from session to session. At the heart of the coaching philosophy is a games based approach where hockey players can play and have fun.

The Hockey Camp is open to students in Years 6, 7, 8 & 9 (school year 2015/16). Experience of playing hockey is not essential but is desirable.
