SOCIAL EVENT - RACE NIGHT

RACE NIGHT COMES TO HALIFAX HOCKEY CLUB

TIME & PLACE
Meet in the Players’ Lounge from 19:00

RACE NIGHT
• Race Night will start at around 19:30/20:00

• There will be 8 races through the night hosted by our guest compere – Chris Haigh.

• Each race has been named after the clubs teams so there is a race for everyone

• Each race will be completely random and Chris' commentary really brings the races to life with gags, sarcasm and a good deal of banter

FANCY BEING A HORSE OWNER
• You can be a race horse owner in any of the races and the horses are £5 per horse per race

• You get to choose your own horse name and the race it runs in (subject to space available in the race)

• Prizes on offer for the winning owner in each race

• Ask behind the bar to register your name and details, you will need to pay there and then

• Any horses not sold up front will be sold on the evening so plenty of opportunities.

• So buy on your own or rally your team members and club together … or both :-)

JUST WANT TO TURN UP
• No problem, you don’t need to own a horse you can just turn up and enjoy betting on the races

• There will be a TOTE on the night and winning will be paid out on each race

• Or just turn up and enjoy the fun and soak up the atmosphere it promises to be a great evening

PRIZES
• Various prizes on offer during the night

• Winning Race Horse owner in each race will receive a prize

• Various booby prizes along the way including “losers prize raffle”

• A variety of “TOTE Forecasts” will be sold on the evening too

BAR & FOOD
• The Bar will be open as normal and as usual there will be promotions running on the night

• Food will be provided on the evening during a break at halfway
