Elliot Taylor made some good saves in his 1st game as the team stopper and the experienced Jack Laycock marshalled the defence well. Harry Egan Brook provided strong support to Laycock and distributed the ball well.

The very young U10 boys won convincing and showed real potential for the future. They passed well and moved into good areas. Alex Bottomley demonstrated good skills and was very composed. Jonathan Tillotson and Toby Egan Brook worked hard and were solid in defensive areas. Both Harry Chandler and Cole Hackney impressed with some good skills in possession considering they only started playing a few Months ago. Jack Greenwood was very sharp and is developing excellent individual techniques which allow him to beat opponents.

Our combined U10/11 girls were far too strong for the inexperienced Aire Valley girls with Orla Bentley Elliot, Connie Wood, Rose Rooke, Livtara Gill and Darcy Francis all playing very well. Ava Lord also showed well in her 1st game. The more experienced Darcy Hancock and Savannah Earle helped support theses younger players.

Thank you to Lucy Hampshire and Evelyn Rooke who helped out the boys team when necessary as several players were self isolating or unavailable.

Also a big thank you to Luke Greenwood, Linda Wood and Mags Bottomley for helping ensure these young players get the opportunity to enjoy playing hockey.
